Wedding Kit
I worked with two great retailers to find my wedding gear: RTH in LA and Ralph Lauren in New York. Two different shops, two great experiences. Both centered around customer service. There is still a great social experience to be had shopping in a brick and mortar store where service and knowledge about product are paramount. Granted the price point at both stores is high, but price shouldn't be the determining factor in the level of service. Knowledge and passion of the goods you are selling goes a long way, no matter what you sell. Big thanks to Rene and his staff at RTH and Robert and Mr. Pino (a classic) at Ralph Lauren.
FACE TO FACE + NOUS SOMMES ICI, D'ICI, Fine Arts Museum - Montreal 2018
Amazing show weaving art from Picasso and art from Africa and the Americas by various artists from ancient times to modern artists presented alongside another show about notions of blackness from a Canadian perspective. Everything seemed like an evolution from one era to another or from one culture to another. pretty powerful profound stuff from many different artists.

Photographs by Christopher Payne
"Photographs like these do something similar. They preserve the secret origins of objects we tend to take for granted. They show us the pride and connection of the humans who make those objects, as well as a mode of manufacturing that is itself disappearing in favor of automation. Like a pencil, these photos trace motions that may someday be gone."
-Sam Anderson, Staff Writer for the New York Times Magazine.
So well said.

His photographs really speak to me. I think of the world in a similar way.
On the way to Cody, Wyoming
From a recent trip to Cody, Wyoming to pick up Jade. What a great drive. Myself, my thoughts, music and the most beautiful scenery. I absolutely love driving long distances. When you do it by yourself, it is such an interesting window of perspective on your life. It feels like flying without the altitude.
