photo composition
Today I started putting photos together as collage compositions. The photo of the bird was taken in Greg Armas' apartment in the East Village years ago. The second photo was an irridescent window in Chelsea. I cut out the mirror on the door and replaced it with the window. Turnt out coo.

Super impressed by this artist.
The most impresive part is that each individual tile is a roll of clay cut perpendicularly to reveal each tile image.

#consume
70% of Americas Gross Domestic Product is represented by Personal Consumption. (give or take)
Modern American society, this capitalist republic based on individual liberty, depends on personal consumption. (like it or not)
Our ability to consume here is one of the most powerful tools we have. It is more powerful than the right to vote. (this is not a democracy) how many things do you buy a day?
a week?
a year?
how many times have you voted?
American Consumerism is Power.
Not only what you buy.
but what you don't.
How much you buy
how little
what you can afford
what you can't
think about everything you buy
think about
it's design, it's value, it's utility
Who made it? How?
What does this company (corporation)
that produced it stand for? Do you agree? Do you disagree?
How long will this be with you?
Do you want it?
Do you need it?
Can you make it?
Think critically about everything you buy
and everything you don't.
American Consumerism is Power
